2007 Year End Review

Looky, looky here .. I have just become the blogging queen .. for now. HA! Seriously though, I figured I would use this quaint spot for my 'Year End Review' - basically, thoughts from the 2007 year.

i) Korea IS the rhythmless nation.

ii) Half of my blood comes from the rhythmless nation - you guessed it, I have no rhythm.

iii) Patience. I'm beginning to think this is one of those lifetime lessons .. something that will always be taught to us in many different ways.

iv) Faith. My faith is what has helped keep my head up during those really tough times - those tough times when you just want to throw your hands up and simply give up. Yet your faith is what tells you that everything happens for a reason just try to deal w/the hand you were dealt - no matter how bad you think it is - you might be surprised. Simply stated, God must be slowing me down for a reason.

v) Things are not as bad as you think .. trust me when I say eveyrthing happens for a reason. Basically talking about mind over matter (positive thinking) here .. positive thinking really does help!

vi) Stop getting in the way (usually by over-thinking things). My convictions are that we are actually the ones that mess things up - well, at least some of the time -by over-thinking things, thus the tendency to over-correct. Just chill out, everything will be ok.

vii) Accepting fault AND apologizing - when you are wrong - will diffuse a lot of arguments and make you feel sooo much better. Even if you are not at fault, you can still diffuse an argument before it starts by stating there must have been a misunderstanding. Give it a try sometime.

viii) Stop complaining. We all have our own issues to deal with. You are probably complaining about the things you have permitted.

ix) Stand up for what you truly believe in and try not to give up. What is it they say, 'say it w/confidence and someone will believe you'?

x)Kindness. Always try to be kind to people - you really don't know their story, and it's usually not safe to assume.

xi) Goals do take you somewhere.

xii) The truth shall set you free my friend. It's better to tell the truth the first time around - even if it hurts at first, in the end you will be respected for not lying (or not being completely honest).

xiii) Forgive. It's always good to forgive people - as well as YOURSELF - for any/all faults. No use in letting the past, and other people, hold you back from anything. Besides, let's be real here .. none of us are perfect - we all make mistakes and will be seeking some sort of forgiveness at some point and time.

xiv) There really is a place for everyone in this world .. ha! :)

xv) It really is ok to put away all outside forms of communication for a little quiet time.

xvi) "Failure" is not when we fall (or fail); rather, "failure" is the decision to stay down - and do nothing - once we fall (or fail). Try to think of these "failures" as part of some kind of growth or life experience.

xvii) This one may seem like a bit of a contradiction, but it's really not. Try to remember what life was like during the harder times in your life and thank those for always being there even when times were seemingly, painfully unbearable. Life is a gift, relish the moment.

xviii) Learn to love and respect yourself.

xix) You have all the answers you really need and/or are trying to seek. Stop all the irrational thinking and you will be able to clearly see for yourself.

xx) "Trust me on the sunscreeen" ... hahaha .. couldn't resist :D

Ok, ok .. so my list miiiiiight be a bit long .. maybe a bit redundant .. buuuuut, pat yourself on the back .. you actually read to the end!! :)
